Important Notes:
- Your course must be published so that students can receive announcement notifications.
- Importing an announcement from another Canvas course won't trigger new announcement notifications.
- If an announcement is made before the course start date with limited course participation dates, students won't receive notifications.
- Notifications aren't sent for announcements created before the course is published.
- In the Canvas Student mobile app, users can't view announcements on the homepage but can access them in the course's Announcements navigation.
