This solution article provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to reset your PennPath password.
When would I need a PennPath account?
Open Canvas is the public-facing instance of Canvas at Penn. It is designated for online certificates and non-for-credit programs for both Penn and non-Penn learners. When registering for an event or program through the Penn GSE Center for Professional Learning, you would need to register for a PennPath account or sign into your existing PennPath account to complete the course registration process. The same PennPath user account will later be used for Open Canvas login.
How do I reset my password?
When you receive a Welcome email from Penn GSE Professional Learning (upenngse@learning-stream.com) with instructions to access your program, you should use the same username as you used to apply to the program, this is your PennPath user account. This will also be your login for Open Canvas. We understand you might have forgotten your PennPath password. Please use the web link from the course invitation email to access Open Canvas and then select "PennPath Users" to reset your password.
Step 1: Visit the Open Canvas login portal https://upenn-catalog.instructure.com/ to select "PennPath Users"
Step 2: Then click on "Forgot your password?"
Step 3: Enter your username (case sensitive).
Then you will receive a password reset email in your email (the email you used for event registration) inbox. Please note: It may take up to 30 minutes for the email to arrive. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folders.
